Jonathan Mendelsohn
, an instructor of English at the University of Toronto, is currently working on his first novel. The book, which might just be a love story, is set in Japan, where he lived for five years. He has previously published in newspapers in Canada and magazines in Japan, including a review of Haruki Murakami's Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. Mendelsohn's creative non-fiction has previously been published in issue #3 and issue #8 of Cha and he serves as the guest prose editor of the November 2009 issue of the journal.
