Alistair Noon has lived in Shanghai and Wuhan. Based in Berlin since the early nineties, he co-edits Bordercrossing Berlin, a magazine focusing on Anglophone writing from outside English-speaking countries, and coordinates the annual Poetry Hearings festival.
