Michael Gray is a MFA candidate at California State University-Fresno and an editorial assistant for The Normal School. He sometimes writes cat poems. Gray received a 2012 AWP Intro Journals Project Award and attended the Raleigh Review Writers' Studio Workshop taught by Dorianne Laux and Joseph Millar.
