Christian Benitez hails from Rizal, the Philippines. He is currently finishing his undergraduate degree in Literature-Filipino in the Ateneo de Manila University. He was a fellow for poetry in the 12th Ateneo National Writers Workshop and 14th IYAS National Writers Workshop. His works have been published in High Chair, Heights, transit, and elsewhere. He began writing poetry after one afternoon last summer, when he found himself walking in a concrete stairs filled with red petals — an odd setting for a guy walking home.
