Shiqin Chen is mostly drawn to artistic works that concern human emotions. Her major interests include Romantic poetry and children's literature. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on the elegiac poetry of Charlotte Smith, investigating her position in the history of elegy as well as in the Romantic literature. [Reviews]
