Danica van de Velde is an early-career researcher at the University of Western Australia where she completed her doctoral thesis on the representation of intimate space in the work of Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-wai. Her areas of specialisation are film studies and visual culture, with a specific focus on the intersections of urban space, architecture, memory and desire.
