Katrina Bonillo, 23, was born a twin. She graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Creative Writing under the playwriting track. In 2012, she was awarded First Prize in the Kabataan Essay category of the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.
