Kaitlin Solimine
ImageAlthough raised in New England, Kaitlin Solimine has considered China a second home since 1996. In 2000, she was a Harvard-Yenching scholar at Beijing University and a Fulbright creative grant recipient in 2007. She wrote and edited Let's Go: China (St. Martin's Press) and is finishing her first novel, The Soap Tree—an early draft was short-listed for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship and workshopped at the Middlebury Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, which she attended as the Donald E. Axinn Scholar in Fiction. Recently graduated from the MFA program in writing at UC-San Diego, she will soon return to China to host a program for CCTV. [Read]
