Lampposts stare in sunbeams
unmasked black lungs wheeze

(Square starfish shed arms
heated by sunbeams)

Dust motes swarm in sunbeams
trillion deeds turned feeds

(Brolly skeleton break
blocking the sunbeams)

Swallows cough in sunbeams
laboured tweets un-tweet

(Windows, lit, echo
louder than sunbeams)
